SUMMARY:Virginia International Raceway Track Event (Southeast Region)
DESCRIPTION:This year\, in addition to our regular two-day track event\, we will have a special Monday evening dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s / Caesar’s Virginia in Danville\, VA. There is limited seating available\, and first option will go to those participating in the track event.  Come out and enjoy a great meal with your fellow FCA members\, to be followed by an evening at Caesars. For more information on Caesars go to: Gordon Ramsay Restaurant in Danville – Ramsay’s Kitchen at Caesars Virginia \nTrack event information: \nPlease join the Ferrari Club of America at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) on April 6 and 7 for two days on-track. VIR is a world-class race facility and is ranked among the Top Ten road courses in America. This is our region’s main track event and we have the complete track (Full Course) for two days as a private event. If you’re a Beginner\, an Instructor will ride with you and provide headsets for easy communication. In-car instruction is also a great thing to teach skills to younger drivers. Instructors are also available for Intermediate drivers. There is no additional fee for an Instructor. For FCA members the fee is $895. Non-FCA member Fees are $995. \nThe nice thing about VIR is that everything is on-site: the track\, lodging\, meals\, etc. \nSunday Afternoon April 5. Most folks will arrive on Sunday afternoon. Sunday 1:30-4:30pm Rick Barker will have an Open House at his Ferrari-themed compound “Casa Pilota” in nearby Danville\, VA.  At 5pm the VIR gates open and we’ll have early Tech Inspection / Registration at the Oak Tree Tavern/ Connie’s Pub on-site.  This will be followed by a pay-as-you-go dinner. After dinner on Sunday we invite folks over to the club’s Villa for post-dinner cocktails. Several members enjoy a cigar out on the deck. \nMonday morning we’re on-track. Breakfast and lunch are available from VIR at The Pagoda snack bar. Following the dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s\, everyone is again invited back to the Villa for post-dinner cocktails and cigars. \nTuesday morning we’re back on track. The event ends at 5pm\, although some driving long distances choose to leave a little early. \nOn-site lodging is also available at www.virnow.com. \nTO REGISTER or for more information\, Contact Mike Tepley (mike.tepley@fca-mar.com)

DESCRIPTION:The place to properly exercise your prancing horse is on the track\, so you don’t want to miss our Spring Autocross on Summit Point’s Washington Circuit. This event fills up rapidly\, so don’t delay in registering. \nOur autocross is run in a test-and-tune format with unlimited runs throughout the day — many members get in 30 runs or more. \nInstructors are available to help you regardless of your experience level: whether you are just learning your way around the track\, or trying to shave those last few 10ths of a second off of your previous time. No special car preparation is required\, and loaner helmets are available for first-time participants. \nThe cost is $185 for members and $245 for non-members (invite your friends!). SUMMARY:Back of the Dragon Tour
DESCRIPTION:OPTIONAL THIRD NIGHT to drive the southern fingers of “the Claw” and overnight stay in Roanoke.  Our second annual Back of the Dragon Spring weekend event. DESCRIPTION:This is one of the larger car shows in central Virginia. Although it’s “British”\, we usually have a good contingent of Italian interlopers from FCA-MAR in attendance\, and the organizers generally will provide us with our own designated area in the show. DESCRIPTION:An annual FCA-MAR tradition! This year we’ll visit Bacon’s Castle\, and enjoy lunch at the historic Virginia Diner.\n\n\nThe tour will start at 9:00 am near Varina\, VA. We will proceed down VA Rt 5 to the Williamsburg Area and cross the James River on the Jamestown Ferry. Then we’ll step back in time at Bacon’s Castle\, the oldest brick dwelling in North America (built in 1665) and later central to the dramatic events of Bacon’s Rebellion.\n\n\nAfter touring the castle and grounds\, we’ll proceed to Wakefield\, VA\, for lunch at the Virginia Diner Restaurant.  The Virginia Diner specializes in traditional southern comfort food\, including the world’s best peanut pie.\n\n\nRegistration will be opening soon — check our website\, or watch your email for details. DESCRIPTION:Join the MAR for some driving and competition at United Karting near BWI Airport. We will host a private FCA member session for seat time in a competition kart. The karts provide top level performance for the veteran pilot but are also easy to drive for the beginner. This will be a fun event for anyone learning competitive driving and a natural complement to our Club autocross events! \n\nKarting will take place from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm\, and we will also host a short pre-event rally to the karting track\, starting at 10:00 am in Fulton\, MD. SUMMARY:Watkins Glen Track Event (Empire State Region)
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Empire State Region\, this HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) event provides Ferrari owners with an exciting venue to drive their Ferraris at speed\, with safety equipment\, driver instruction\, and in a safe and controlled manner to improve their driving skills.  FCA ESR events are NOT limited to Ferraris. Any make car that meets the track’s safety requirements and passes tech inspection is welcome (convertibles must have rollover protection). \nParticipants may be inexperienced drivers\, drivers unfamiliar with a given course\, or even highly experienced drivers who wish to improve their skills.  The registration form is attached below. Please register early and send the form and payment to Bob Coates\, the ESR Track Chair and Cc Mike Tepley as well. \nNestled in the beautiful finger lakes region of upstate NY\, this historic raceway has hosted NASCAR\, US Grand Prix. IndyCar and even Formula 1.
