SUMMARY:Spring Karting
DESCRIPTION:Join the MAR for some driving and competition at United Karting near BWI Airport. We will host a private FCA member session for seat time in a competition kart. The karts provide top level performance for the veteran pilot but are also easy to drive for the beginner. This will be a fun event for anyone learning competitive driving and a natural complement to our Club autocross events! \n\nKarting will take place from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm\, and we will also host a short pre-event rally to the karting track\, starting at 10:00 am in Fulton\, MD. After karting we will adjourn to a local restaurant for lunch. \nNOTE: Even if you are not interested in karting\, you are still welcome and encouraged to join us for the pre-karting drive\, stay to watch the action and join us for lunch! \nFor further information\, please contact Lashdeep Singh\, lashdeep@fca-mar.com.

This year’s event will be held at the Monticello Motorsports Park\, Monticello\, NY. If you’ve never taken part in an Annual Meet\, you don’t want to miss this. FCA-MAR will likely run a “caravan” from the DC area to New York\, which will add to the fun. \nA preview video for the event is available HERE. \n Registration is open as of Sunday\, January 18. This event is expected to fill up quickly\, so don’t delay.

SUMMARY:Watkins Glen Track Event (Empire State Region)
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by the Empire State Region\, this HPDE (High Performance Driver Education) event provides Ferrari owners with an exciting venue to drive their Ferraris at speed\, with safety equipment\, driver instruction\, and in a safe and controlled manner to improve their driving skills.  FCA ESR events are NOT limited to Ferraris. Any make car that meets the track’s safety requirements and passes tech inspection is welcome (convertibles must have rollover protection). \nParticipants may be inexperienced drivers\, drivers unfamiliar with a given course\, or even highly experienced drivers who wish to improve their skills.  The registration form is attached below. Please register early and send the form and payment to Bob Coates\, the ESR Track Chair and Cc Mike Tepley as well. \nNestled in the beautiful finger lakes region of upstate NY\, this historic raceway has hosted NASCAR\, US Grand Prix. IndyCar and even Formula 1. DESCRIPTION:FCA-MAR has been invited to participate in the 2026 Dulles Plane Pull festival. Like last year\, we will display our cars on the tarmac as part of the collector car show (no shuttle bus!). This year\, we’re going to put together our own FCA-MAR team to compete in the pull! \nThere will be numerous aircraft on display (including\, perhaps\, our very own Mike Girardi’s L-39 jet?)\, a variety of food and beverage vendors\, and many other exhibitors. This is a fun event for the whole family\, and all proceeds benefit Special Olympics Virginia. \nThe date for the 2026 plane pull has not yet been finalized.
